* As you may have noticed, I have
renamed 8-bit P.D. to 8-Bit Software
this month. Because of this magazine,
the Programmers Return and the close
links with the communications world, I
feel that we are more a User Group like
Beebug than a disc-copying P.D. Library
that does it all for horrendus profits.
The monthly Issue Discs will continue
with the P.D. software providing there
is still enough avaliable. For the
benefit of the newer members, here is a

Contrary to rumours that have been
circulating the BBC Pulic Domain world,
I would like to stress that ALL 8-bit
Software services are FREE and will stay
so. The only thing that isn't free is
the postage and packing for the issue
discs, as some people haven't been
including certain things in their return
discs. *

with The Animation Station (TAS)
Bulletin Board so if you have a modem
then please give it a call. 8-bit's
circulation now includes 4 Bulletin
Boards thus making it one of the most
widely circulated free User Groups. All
your questions, enquiries, help wanted,
and adverts are automatically sent to
the Bulletin Boards listed over the
