Opening times are from 10am to 5pm each day. It all looks very exciting to be honest. Over 60 exhibitors are to be at the show, you name it, they are there. Ticket prices: IN ADVANCE AT THE DOOR Adults £4.00 £5.00 Under 16 £2.00 £2.50 Family £10.00 £13.00 The Good News 8-Bit Software has been allowed exhibition space in the "Club Corner". We will be in an area along with The Wakefield User group, The Arm Club and Illusions Disk Magazine. There will be plenty of room for as much gear as I can carry there. I plan to take my Beeb and Master, printer, two twin drives and a single drive. I may also take my sound sampler and maybe some other odds and ends of hardware that I have been promised. Plus a backup of the PD pool and a large number of blank discs. The Idea 1. Show everyone how fantastic 8BS is. 2. Collar a load of new members. 3. Meet you lot. 4. Sell loads of copies of TBI-00 and the latest issue.   Already, I have had a couple of volunteers to help but more are urgently required. I am compiling a list of people that are willing to pop across to Harrogate and help out. Helping out means sitting in a comfy chair and having a chat with other computer loonies for maybe a morning, an afternoon, a day or a couple of days. What I really need is at least one person, preferably two other people present with me at all times on 22, 23 and 24. Anyone volunteering to help will of course be entitled to a pass for the show. I have been allowed a couple of extra passes for this. Therefore, if you are willing to help out, please let me know as soon as possible. Write or ring and let me know when you can help out. If you cannot spare a full day, just a morning or an afternoon would help a great deal. If you cannot come to help, then please come and say hello. I have booked that week off as holiday and shall potter across there on the 21st with my wife Gill and youngest lad Peter.     OK gentlemen, here it is, your 8BS wangle to get away to the show. Words to this effect: You: "Hey, guess what dear." Wife: "Oh no! Are you on that computer again, I thought I told you to paint the windows. What do you want?" You: "No. I have just read here that there is the international flower show on in Harrogate on the 22, 23 and 24th of April. Apparently it is the biggest and best show in the country. Do you fancy going?" OPTIONAL BIT NOW "We could spend a couple of days there in a hotel." Wife: "Coo, yes, let's go" I leave the rest to you. These tickets have been donated to 8BS by the organisers of the show for me to give as prizes for a competition. No difficulty at all in deciding on the competition. Here it is: At the show, I shall make available one of my computers, probably the BBC, for the visitors to the show to fiddle with. I intend to have a few puzzle type programs that are colourful/ingenious/novel/amusing etc etc. I shall give away the tickets to the first few members that submit programs that I could use in this way. If you don't want a ticket but have a good idea or a good program that would fit the bill, please send it in to 8BS. Guidelines. A few ideas really: The program should be colourful so that it attracts the attention of passers by. It should be fairly taxing but quick to complete. A spectacular reward at the end.                                    
