THE 8BS QUESTIONNAIRE IS TO BE FOUND
ON TBI-00, THE 8BS CATALOGUE/INFO DISC.
IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED ONE AND SENT
IT IN TO 8BS. YOU ARE INVITED TO DO SO!
TBI-00, the 8BS catalogue/info/utility
disc is available as ADFS or DFS now.
I have changed the catalogue beyond all
recognition after one clever member
suggested it should look like the
magazine articles. Why didn't I think
of that?
If the snow storm in the menu of this
issue is not to your taste, remove the
REM from line 30 and save the menu back
to disc. I love it!
The article you are reading now.

K7T D.Ambrose sends us an article with
examples of how to merge data into
programs
The concluding part of K4R's series.
K4R also sends a short article that may
ring true to a few (probably most) of
us that rely on various ploys/arguments
to maintain matrimonial harmony when
the "C" word becomes a large part of a
persons life.
An article by 27N John Ilsley. Giving
advice about modems.

Use: DUAL PRINTOUT UTILITY
Program name: PRINT`2
Associated file: DualInf
PRINT`2 is a utility allowing two text
files to be printed out side by side
on one sheet of paper. The program
uses the 'condensed' font available on
Epson and compatible printers,
together with a reduced line spacing,
to give a compact but readable output.
See text file DualInf available from
the magazine menu for more details.

Use: View short catalogue.
Program name: ViewOne Data: TEMP
This is a very cut down version of the
8BS catalogue, just the main headings.
I have left in the text for the new
entries. If you want to see the full
version, order TBI-00. ADFS versions of
this issue will feature the full
catalogue. It is simple to use. Info on
the title screen. For full info, see
TBI-00.

Use: Draw Patterns
Program name: Spiro
Info By Brian.

SPIRO
The computer version of Spirograph.
Seeing the program submitted by K3X in
issue 33 reminded me of this program I
found in ZX COMPUTING Jan/86 written
by Simon Palmer in SPECTRUM machine
code. Here it is then converted into
BBC basic.
The screen is not cleared each time so
you can build the pattern up. To get
you going, try these inputs:
fixed cog rotating cog pen pos.
20 5 10
20 5 -10
20 5 5
20 5 -5
Notice that the pen pos. is not
restricted by the size of the rotating
cog and negative numbers shift the
pattern.
