Yes - I did! I said to myself,"I bet that's the same John Davis who contributes to 8BS." And so it was. It would have been an even bigger surprise if he had turned out to be the same John Davis of the Wakefield Jail with whom I had dealings many years ago. Not an inmate but on the staff of the education dept. Looking back through my records I found that that John Davis is John R. G. Davis while the 8BS membership list shows that the anagram enthusiast is John C. Davis. Would it be possible, Chris, for the membership list to show the town in which members live? EDITOR........ I shall try to remember this request next time Peter.  To: 999 (all members) From: K5K (David Robinson) Subject: PC to BBC Picture Converson Further to my notes and sample pictures on the ADFS Extra of Issue 40, my PC to BBC graphics conversion programs are progressing. I have been able to produce surprisingly good dithered colour pictures in MODE 2, and have improved on the results in MODEs 0 and 1. I am now concentrating on tidying up the current programs and putting together some documentation, with the aim of issuing them as "Version 1" within the next couple of months. They are totally BASIC and range from "slow" to "excruciatingly slow", but speed improvements through the use of machine code will have to wait for Version 2.  PRESS BREAK
