8 BIT SOFTWARE

If these show a true picture of the
bunch of piratical-looking thugs which
were manning, sorry, personning, the
8BS stall, I'm not surprised that they
didn't get many visitors! Glad to see
that Chris had finally got the water
tank for the sprinkler system fitted
on the roof of the camper, or was it
the cool-box for the beer?

What a good implementation of this old
dice game. A clear and simple layout
with no unnecessary trappings make it
both easy and enjoyable to play. Even
though the dice "throws" are random,
tactical play can lead to higher
scores, so the old addictability
ingredient is also there. The only
change I made was to put a "Press
Space" prompt under the "Game Over"
message, so my kids knew what to do.
Nice one, Mynheer Looyenga.

"Oh no, not another pairs game" was my
first reaction. Roy has made this one
better than lots of others though, by
offering "easiness" levels. The option
of playing a game WITHOUT sound is a
real bonus with my kids home for the
school holidays! Thank you, Roy.
Any chance of extending the game to
include lower-case letters, and also
maybe colours, for the younger ones?

MICK NEEDHAM (6EE) gave us a fine
picture of a fine bunch of five.
Daniel, Duncan, Derrick, Jonathan and
Chris. All well known names and now
we can put a face to them. (Whoowa! I
never thought they looked like that!)

Thanks to MR LOOYENGA for another
dice game. It has gone onto my 'board
games' disc with the other one. I'm
getting hooked on these.

This picture by K2O would make a
good first page of the disc. I had a
go at doing one but packed up. I
couldn't get the acorn in the back
ground.
BLAM!
