A family friend uses a 3.5 720K disc
drive in which (he thinks) his
daughters have got their fingers -
disc upside down or some such thing,
and now it doesn't work. Has anybody
got a spare drive mechanism for this
machine, or alternatively can anyone
tell me where one can be obtained.
A reasonable price paid.

Subject: Farewell!
Dear All,
It's with a heavy heart that I must
say farewell to you all. I've
succumbed to the temptations of a
32-bit machine (a Risc PC 600 to be
exact) and there just isn't room on my
desk for both machines. :-(
This means I'll be letting my trusty
Master go. What I'd like to do is
give it to a good home and I'd like
some suggestions from yourselves
as to a charity, school or project
that could make a good home for it.
If any of you would like to buy some
of the "bits" from it then you can ask
(like the mouse or 3.5" drive).

For your information, I needed a new
backup battery for the Master and
found a good company in Reading called
Greenacre Services on (01734) 422422 .
I have nothing to do with the company
& have no idea what (if any) other BBC
stuff they may have, but they managed
to get the battery to me quickly
and they were helpful and polite on
the 'phone (the battery also claims to
be guaranteed for 12 months!).
If you have any suggestions you can
call me at work on (01344) 828142 in
the unlikely event that they haven't
moved my desk by then or contact me
(D2F) through the messaging system.
I shall be lurking here a little
longer yet.

Eprom Erasers seem to be very
expensive in the UK. In Hong Kong you
can get them for 20 to 30 pounds. If
enough people are interested in
importing some goods, I'll get some

ADFS ROM for the Electron AP4 interface
or ADFS ROM image if I can't get an
original ROM. Preferably with some
documentation.
Copies of system disks for an IBM PS/60
286PC. Its an AT but I can't seem to
find anyway of getting into the bios
menu. Presumably it needs some sort of
configuration program.
Also wanted a standard ISA PC card for
connecting RLL/MFM/ESDI hard drives
with software or alternatively loan of
card if poss. I have cables.
