Suitable for the BBC B or Master 128 series. Master 512 owners who desire a turbo board but have no room could go for this slightly slower alternative. 3mhz 65C02 compared to 4mhz 65C02. 90meg BBC Hard drive with built in 5 1/4 80 track double sided disk drive. Space for another 5 1/4 or 3.5 drive and extra hard drive. Fan cooled and large (PC base size with monitor sitting on top and computer in front). The internal hard drive is a Fujitsu model and larger than normal 5 1/4 size hard drives. The host adaptor is by Viglen. You must have ADFS to use it, a Master 128/Turbo/512 is ideal. 512 users can partition the drive for PC use. The hard drive boots to a menu of utilities with options like DFS to ADFS, ADFS to ADFS etc and files are easily moved from floppies onto the hard drive. £100 or £60 plus good combined 3.5 and 5 1/4 disk drive unit(with own PSU). Bare 5 1/4 40t double sided drives. All fully working £9 inclusive. Various Amstrad NC100 spares(no working displays). Tandy XT 256k Expansion board(For XT PCs with 256k or 384k memory). Its a standard slot card but it could be Tandy PC only. £10 inclusive. Epson PX-8 portable laptop computer. Same sort of concept as Z88/NC100. Its Z80 based with 64k main memory, its a full CPM computer so its like MSDOS to use. It has a very good keyboard and display, built in microcassette drive(electronically controlled), large Nicad pack, twin serial ports, A/D converter, barcode reader socket. Comes complete with Basic, Wordstar, utilities ROM and Calc/Scheduler software. The system operates with the A: drive being the RAMdisk, B:,C: being the main ROM drives(wordstar for example) and H: being the microcassette drive. The letters D:, E:, F:, G:, are used if you connect external disk drives. The microcassette drive can store 12 files per side of a cassette and is controlled by the computers own software. As well as the main Nicad there is a backup battery for security. It doesn't have the original Epson power supply but the previous owner used a Sony model and I've been using a Sanyo model with no ill effects. Certainly a nice bit of kit, extremely well made, a little bit heavier than a NC100/Z88 mainly due to the superior build quality and nicad pack. The serial ports will interface with normal serial printers and modems (upto 19,200baud). Comms software is built into the utility rom for moving files between different computers or just print it if you have a serial printer( I don't). Includes the main system manual plus two wordstar manuals and one Calc/Schedular manual. All thick ringbound manuals. The serial ports use mini din plugs like the Macs. The manuals are extremely detailed with the pinouts for cables etc. Maplins supply mini din plugs. One microcassette included. Originally cost well over a thousand in the late eighties. It superceded the early HX20 and is the big brother to the PX-4 (no tape drive, less expandable, smaller battery). £65 including insured postage or swop. ICL One Per Desk, Sinclair QL based communications computer, 128k RAM, 68008 processor, twin microdrives, Monochrome monitor, built in 2,400 modem, speech synthesisor, telephone. You can program it to answer phone automatically and use the speech synthesisor to speak to the caller( wierd!), it has RS232 connections for a serial printer.
