A very smart program. All very
clever how it was put together.
Presentation was very good with a
menu, on screen instructions and a
demo. Having a demo is magic and
very professional. I looked at the
demo for ages and saved myself
hundreds of pounds! It certainly
made me feel good.

Subject: Bug fix updates
I see the version number of the 8BS
messaging system keeps creeping up, and
the editor keeps announcing so, but
what has changed?
What makes this version so much better
than the last, what bugs have been
fixed, what features have been added.
I hope you're not just doing a
Micr*s*ft and altering the version
number then re-releasing it (as a
matter of interest Word 3,4 and 5
never existed and were never even
started, the version number was just
increased from V2 to V6 so that all
the elements of MS Office were at the
same version number to coincide with
the release of Wind*ws 3.11).
One thing I still find a problem in
the system is the wordwrap. You've
clearly checked whether the word has
extended beyond the end of the line
and wrap it correctly, but if you then
delete a character from the word (such
that it would now just fit on the
previous line) the word stays put on
the line below.
Other than that all is well: the
undelete part is particularly clever.

EDITOR.... Changes to the messaging
system are documented in the info file
associated with that version. Steven
Flintham has mentioned that the
messaging system is like a mini word
processor, but as it also features
teletext editing, memory is a little
too tight for full word editing
facilities.

Subject: When Not To Ring
That man has done it again! What will
he do next? And who is that man? Of
course it is our beloved leader Chris!
And what has he done? He has given us
all the formulae in his program Shift
Pattens which will tell WHEN NOT TO
RING HIM due to what shift he is on.
Without being disrespectful to anyone
as it can be a problem when people
ring at very inconvienent times which
some people will no doubt do and this
program will keep anyone informed of
Chris's shifts and make it a little
bit easier for him so friends the
ball's in your court.
I found the program very easy to use.
You can print out weeks in hand very
easily. If, say the last day on your
printout is the 1st, make the next one
the 2nd and keep on doing that and you
have a working list of shifts as I did.
Now I have a three month list
printed out ready at hand. So keep up
the good work Chris and thanks a lot.
