As a brief recap, it fixes the year 2000 problem and also adds some new *commands. For a little more of a recap see the webpage www.york.ac.uk/÷rps102/bbc/bbc.htm This now has an entire area dedicated to Doomsday and it's usage. As well as orders for the new ROM I've received some letters asking for details, which I thought might be useful to repeat here: Will Doomsday work with my Master Compact? Yes, however the Master Compact will need to have had the appropriate hardware added to the expansion port. Does the 'timezone' command only handle BST and GMT? No, the timezone command is flexible enough to add offsets from -13 to +13 hours onto the base time, so you could take it on holiday to Australia with you! I have a BBC B+ so how will I fit the ROM? The manual has full details of how to fit the ROM in a BBC, BBC+, and Master series When and where can I get this ROM? The Doomsday ROM is available NOW,from my usual address,or you can speak to me in person at the Wakefield Acorn show,May 17th/18th 1997,at stand 65. I hope this clears up any questions you may have had, Robert Sprowson.
