Games Reviewers Wanted!

8-Bit Software has been in contact with David Bradforth at ProAction and
Steve Hanson at Superior Software.
They have sent me some games to advertise their wares. All that they ask for
in return is a review for each of the games in 8BS magazines.
Here's how you get your free games:
8BS sends the game to the reviewer. The game is supplied on approval for one
month. Before the expiry of the approval period, one of the following
conditions will be met:
1. A review meeting the criteria set by 8BS would be received by 8BS
OR
2. Payment of the full price of the game to ProAction or Superior Software if
no review is received by 8BS
The criteria for 8BS reviews are as follows:
1. Game Title
2. From where available (ProAction or Superior Software)
3. Price including all charges
4. Price to 8BS members including all charges
5. Type of game (Adventure, zapping etc)
6. Scenario of the game
7. Size of the game (number of levels etc)
8. Description of game play
9. Your opinions of the game
a) Graphics
b) Sound
c) Game play
d) Value for money
I would expect a minimum of 500 words in the whole review which would cover
all the above points. I would accept fewer words for each game on a
compilation disc, but would expect a review for each of the games on that disc.

Please find enclosed a disc, containing the first three games from Play It
Again Sam 19. Please note that, although the games are included on this
compilation, we shall not be deleting them from our main catalogue - and where
the games are new, this will mean we add them to the catalogue.
Included on this disc, 3D Pool [a classic pool game from the pen Of Orlando],
XLCR a new intriguing new puzzle game - very addictive!] and Moonbase Beta
[another new adventure game, not that different from Citadel or Palace of
Magic!]
One further game is yet to be confirmed, but due to the fact that each of these
games will remain available separately, I have sent just disc one [or side one]
of Play It Again Sam 19. The instructions are yet to be published.
Retail prices for the games are as follows:

3D Pool BBC 3.5" or 5.25" discs £3.45, £3.00 to 8BS members
Moonbase Beta BBC 3.5" or 5.25" discs £3.45, £3.00 to 8BS members
The retail price of the Play It Again Sam 19 compilation is expected to be
£11.95, or £8.00 to 8BS members - containing one further game, complete
instructions and a nicely presented case!

Finally, just to point out that Play It Again Sam 20 is in the pipeline;
subject to suitable games being available. And I have one or two new projects
in the pipeline - the HTML reader is a certainty; and I will speak to the
originator of one of the most useful Communications ROMs with a view to linking
the two products together - obviously this means a communications ROM could
shortly be available once again.
