Pansonic KXP1124 24pin LQ printer
which has the following features;
Front, rear and underneath paper
loading. Front for A4 sheets. Means it
needs minimal headroom. It can be
placed near to shelves above it like
I've been doing.
Loads of font options and styles all
from an electronic front menu. No
dipswitches.
Quiet mode.
Really well built and styled.
Very cheap running costs, far less
than an inkjet. Compatible ribbon
cartridges are 2 to 3 pounds, last
6-12 months and can be re-inked.
Normal parallel connection for use
with most computers.
Optional serial option if you want it
for ten pounds. Please note once
installed it overrides parallel
completely. No option to toggle
between modes.
Print Quality is superb for a 24pin
(got excellent reviews) and easy
double strike option enables real
quality output with a loss of speed
obviously.
British made or should I say British
assembled.
Full manual (very extensive)
Normal Epson and IBM compatibility
modes.
Anyway its in superb nick, 100% solid
in operation and because of the built
in font options and front selection
would be ideal for a BBC that prints
letters in text mode.
Also quite easy for positioning
envelopes and stickers.
I originally bought it from Watford
Electronics for 220 pounds but I'm
selling it for 70 pounds including
postage. 60 if your collecting.
