Subject: Poem - "I'm Tired"
Yes I'm tired. For years I've been
blaming it on middle age, poor
blood,lack of vitamins, air pollution,
saccharin, obesity, dieting, B.O, and
a dozen other maladies that make you
wonder whether life is really worth
living.
But I've found it isn't that!
I'm tired because i'm overworked.
The population of this country is
51 million
21 million are retired
That leaves 30 million to do the work
19 million are at school
That leaves 11 milion to do the work
2 million unemployed
4 million are employed by the
Government
That leaves 5 million to do the work
1 million are in the armed forces
Only leaves 4 million to do the work.
3 million are employed by Councils
1 million left to do the work
620,000 are in hospital
379,998 are in prison
That leaves TWO to do the work
You and me!
And you are sat on your arse reading
this.
NO WONDER I'M SO BLOODY TIRED !!!!!

Subject: Games
Hi
I have played most games on the beeb,
and welcome any queries and requests
about them!
I would also like to hear what members
favourite games are, and high scores
they have achieved!
My favorite games
are Citadel, Galaforce, and of Course
ELITE! but I have loads of others I
play regularly!
I also have a website dedicated to the
BBC Games, and those of you with
access to the internet could head to:

Please note that the ÷ sign is the
squiggle thing not a division sign.

Subject: shop - more details
Further to my report about a shop in
Gainsborough, I can now give you a bit
more information after visiting it
this weekend.
Not only does he sell and repair all
sorts of computer bits and pieces, he
also does tv/video sales and repairs.
The gentleman in charge, "Ron" is very
helpful and will also do part
exchanges providing he has enough
interest for bits you want to
exchange.
If you don't see what you require
please ask as his stock changes
regularly and he also services most
items before putting them in the shop.
If he hasn't got what you require, he
will make a note of your details and
try to locate it for you.
Prices are reasonable, and I'm sure
you could get a better price if you
ask.
Needless to say, I came away with a
Model B, Twin Viglen 40/80 drive,
Color CUB monitor, and a box full of
books, games etc for around 70 pounds.
He even provided me with a screwdriver
to enable me to see what extra
firmware or boards had been fitted.
10 out of 10 for service. I shall
definately use this shop regularly
even though it is a 40 mile round
trip.
WELL WORTH A LOOK IF YOU ARE IN THE
AREA !!!!!

Subject: Fuel Consumption Bug
The Oct 90 Beebug Disc carried a Fuel
Consumption Calculator programme which
is very good and very accurate in use
with mileage in Galls and Ltrs running
over the last 1000 Mls as well as the
overall MPG as well,
The programme also asks you the date
as well the Day / Month / Year
unfortunaly in the year part it's down
as 19 and if you go to Line 2390 in
either FConB or FconM and change the
19 to 20 in December 1999 you will
have corrected it for the Years 2000.
The one question that makes you stop
and think about is will we have any
Petrol / Diesel or any cars by then?.
